Slash Your Local Phone Bill

Here are some good ways to save money on your local phone bill:

Slash Your Local Phone Bill

Time to complete:  A few minutes
Money you'll spend:  $0
What you'll get:  Considerable savings.

List of Local Phone Savings Tips:

  1. Block those "900 number" calls that charge several dollars per minute.  Just call your local phone company to have that done.  If you have kids, they may try calling a 900 number someday.

  2. Check your phone bill for items you don't want to pay for.  Five million Americans still pay $4 or more per month to rent their phones, even though they could buy a phone for as little as $10.

  3. If you need two phone numbers (one personal phone, one for your business), you can get a distinctive ring number on your current phone line, which costs about $3 per month.  To make sure you don't miss any calls, you should add either voice mail  (about $10) or call waiting  services (about $3.) , in their Electronics/Telephones section. -->
