does a lot of forecasting. If you search there for
words like "forecast" you can get a lot of information. Here's two
interesting articles: Trend Spotting and the more pessimistic

Jesse Berst theorized in this ZDNet.com article that the market would crash around
September of 2004 (there was no crash, but there was a severe bottoming
of the Dow at 7000 in the fall of 2002.)
