____Finance Tips: Managing Your Time And Money__________________

(Aug. 16) Utility Time Of Use Programs: A MyPrimeTime.com
article explains how to enroll in a Time of Use program at your
local power company. This means you'll be charged more for
electricity during prime times and less during off hours. When
you switch to TOU, the power company will install a new meter.
The author of the article reports saving at least $500 a year
with almost no change in the way they live. Businesses can
participate too.

(Aug. 14) How To Buy One Stock Share: OneShare.com (One Share
Of Stock Inc.) wants to sell you one share of stock in a
beautifully designed, unfolded certificate. This probably would
have little financial value (however... if you owned one share of
Microsoft after IPO in 1987 today you would have 144 shares worth
a total of $9,792.) But it does make an interesting gift or
collectible. You could buy one just to commemorate that stock
that made you your first million... or maybe the one that you
lost a bundle on. It's a real stock certificate, entitling you
to receive annual reports, dividends, and all other Shareholder
benefits. The price is a bit steep: You pay the price of the
stock, plus $39 as a catch-all fee, and another $30-$50 for an
optional frame. Until Aug. 31, you can get a special bonus stock
certificate with your first purchase:

-Buy.com (now worth 15 cents): use coupon code "Buy"
-DrKoop.com (now worth 11 cents): use coupon code "Planet"
-Planet Hollywood (now worth 40 cents): use coupon code "DR"

Legend has it, that John D. Rockefeller was given one share of
stock as a young child, which inspired him to learn more about
business. OneShare.com has a My First Stock program designed
especially for kids, including a children's book that teaches
them how to invest money.

(Aug. 13) Find Out Your True Worth: A Kiplinger.com article
talks about Salary.com, an objective resource for salary
information for many lines of work. The article says, "Companies
usually do their best to keep you in the dark about what your
colleagues earn. But knowing what you're worth can give you a
lot of leverage come raise time, or if you're searching for a new
job. Salary.com also offers news and career advice, as well as
links to professional associations, related salary surveys,
government data and more. But the true star of the site is the
Salary Wizard."

(Aug. 10) Best And Worst Jobs: MyPrimeTime.com has posted two
articles on the best and worst jobs for the 21st century. The
Dead-End Jobs list shows you the jobs that are dropping the
fastest in terms of overall employee numbers. The Future's Fast
Track list shows you the jobs that employers are begging for.
The U.S. Department of Labor projects these jobs should
experience the fastest growth during the first decade of the 21st
century.

(Aug. 6) Hold An Online Garage Sale: August is a popular time
for holding garage sales. An article "selling on the Web Made
Simple" shows how you can hold a virtual garage sale online,
perhaps even turning it into a business. "Every household has
hundreds of dollars' worth of collectibles, sporting goods and
electronics gathering dust in the closet, attic or basement. You
can sell these items at on-line auctions more easily and for far
more money than at a typical yard sale.".

gross domestic product." This article addresses the hows and
whys of starting and running an intensive family business. The
author goes on to list 10 questions families need to answer
before starting a business. Read this article to find out how to
make your family financially ready, psychologically prepared and
organizationally equipped to run a business.

side business, which is something you don't really need to get
your family closely involved with. Following the advice in this
ebook is a good way to "test the waters" without having to
